How to Join?
How to join the HTCIA
Membership of the HTCIA means that you become part of a select group of professionals entrusted with sharing information and intelligence relating to all forms of IT crime investigation and forensics. All applicants are carefully vetted.
The HTCIA Asia Pacific Chapter welcomes all qualified applicants to apply to join our vibrant association. Essentially, anyone who works in the IT Security, Investigation and/or computer forensics fields are welcome to apply for membership. The application form for joining can be downloaded by clicking here
Before completing the form, there are a number of points to consider:
- Do you meet the membership criteria? Please carefully study the International HTCIA bylaws which can be found by clicking here
- Please bear in mind the important bylaw which states that members must not work for criminal defence in legal proceedings.
- Do you know two existing member who are willing to endorse your application? If not, you will need to write to the chapter committee at ec (at) htcia.org.hk, providing details of your current position and work experience and your case will be reviewed.
If you have met the above criteria and your membership application has been endorsed by two existing members, then you must submit as follows:
- Please ensure you have completed the payment by credit card section - this is the only way we can receive payment at present
- Either pass the completed form by hand to one of the committee members, or post to Chapter President, Mr. Paul Jackson at:

Once your membership is approved, you will shortly receive your membership certificate, badge and I/D card in the mail. You will also be eligible to access the protected areas of this site. In order to do this, send an e-mail to the committee stating your new membership number, and we will arrange your access.
